Data Deletion Instructions
Aura SMS is designed so most personal data stays on your Android device. You can delete local data directly from the app or Android system settings.
Delete Local App Data
- Open Aura SMS settings and use the local database cleanup or erase option where available.
- Use Android Settings > Apps > Aura SMS > Storage > Clear storage to remove app-local data.
- Delete individual messages or conversations from the app when supported by your Android default SMS permissions.
Remove Aura SMS as Default SMS App
Open Android Settings > Apps > Default apps > SMS app and choose another SMS application. Restricted SMS access should stop when Aura SMS is no longer the default SMS handler.
Delete Backups
If you enabled backup, delete backup files from the connected storage provider, such as Google Drive, and remove any exported backup files from your devices.
Request Help
If you need assistance, contact privacy@aurasms.pro. Include your app version and device model, but do not send private SMS content unless specifically required for troubleshooting and you are comfortable sharing it.
